On Monday, July 24th 2023, the 11th Global Gift Gala took place at the luxurious Hotel Don Pepe Gran Meliá, Marbella.
It was a prestigious and star-studded philanthropic event that brought together celebrities, influencers, and generous donors from around the world.
The event was organized by the Global Gift Foundation, founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Maria Bravo, along with honorary chairwoman Eva Longoria, and a team of dedicated individuals. The foundation works tirelessly to improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged communities, focusing on children, women, and families in need.
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to a memorable experience of glamour, entertainment, and heartfelt speeches from the beneficiaries of the foundation's projects. Celebrities graced the red carpet in their most elegant outfits, adding to the glitz and excitement of the occasion.
The event started with a welcome cocktail and a red carpet reception, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. This was followed by a fine-dining culinary experience. Throughout the evening, the event was filled with live performances, an awards ceremony honouring outstanding contributions to philanthropy, and an engaging live auction, where generous donors had the opportunity to bid on exclusive items, all in support of the Global Gift Foundation's noble causes.
With founder María Bravo at the helm, the al fresco, pink-hued gala dinner was deemed a resounding success, attracting a packed house of 300 guests. With the ticket price points going from €500 to €1,000 per seat, it accommodated a diverse group of supporters.
The gala's auction took center stage as a highlight of the evening, with architect Jaime Monge's painting fetching a remarkable €25,000. Another exceptional moment came when a trip to Longoria's Dubai charity gala next December garnered an astonishing €18,000.
During the event, Eva Longoria and María Bravo delivered heartfelt speeches on the power of compassion and their dedication to empowering vulnerable youth through Casa Ángeles. In a touching tribute, Belounis was honored for his companies' unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility. Recognizing his outstanding humanitarian efforts, Miguel Bosé was presented with the prestigious Philanthropist Award, celebrating his impactful work over the years.
All funds raised at the gala will have a profound impact, enabling therapeutic services for Casa Ángeles' 1,000 children with special needs.
The sponsors of the event included Zazou Marbella with Nota Blu Marbella, and Mamzel Marbella. Hotel Don Pepe Gran Meliá, as previously mentioned, has been the venue sponsor for the last 11 years. Collaborating partners were also Huda Beauty and Luxury Spain. The delectable dinner menu was skillfully prepared by the talented chefs Iñigo Urrechu and Victor Carracedo.
The music spectacle was provided by Bosé and the Gipsy Kings band, getting everyone up on their feet, dancing the night away.
Among the many great style examples to choose from, Eva Longoria definitely stood out with her Bally knit dress, accentuating her figure with a formfitting silhouette. A statement gold emblem graced her chest, adding a touch of opulence.
Among others, Gala attendees included grammy-winner Miguel Bosé, model Lidia Santos, soprano Angélica de la Riva, actor Iván Sánchez, 2022's Miss World Spain, Paula Pérez, footballer Miguel Torres with his wife Paula Echevarría. We also had actors Amaury Nolasco and Brigitte Nielsen in attendance, along with renowned presenter Luján Argüelles, and even royalty guests like Princess Beatriz de Orleans.
Marbella’s Global Gift Gala showcased the star’s dedication to improving children’s lives in Spain and beyond and it is definitely an event worth putting down in you calendars for next year.
