Dazzling in Schiaparelli Haute Couture: A Glamorous Premiere of the New Barbie Movie

July 9th 2023, Los Angeles

Everyone was full of anticipation this Sunday on the premiere of the new Barbie movie, starring the incredibly talented Margot Robbie. Well-known for her impeccable style, Robbie had everyone holding their breath waiting for her red carpet appearance. Safe to say, she surpassed all expectations as she graced the event in a stunning ensemble from Schiaparelli Haute Couture, paying homage to the iconic Solo in the Spotlight doll from 1960.

Strapless dress from Schiaparelli Haute Couture was adorned with sequins giving that timeless charm feeling. The flounce at the bottom of the dress was accentuated by a red rose for some added drama. Extra elegance with the elegant black opera gloves and a dazzling multi-tiered diamond necklace paired with diamond earrings. The patent leather sandals were a great match for the dress and a delicate pink silk mousseline brought some softness. To enhance the vintage glamour, Robbie echoed the rose with a bold pop of red lipstick. Her hair was stylishly swept side bangs, and a ponytail brightened with a charming demi-curl at the end.

Margot Robbie has worn many looks in tribute to the doll on the Barbie press tour and was styled by Andrew Mukamal.

In another 90s inspired styling during her Barbie press conference in Sydney, she wore a full look from Versace FW94 that was featured in the iconic supermodel- laden ad campaign.

Robbie and the LA premiere of the film also inspired other guests and cast members to bring their A game, most of them embracing the enchantment of pink in a range of shades. Director Greta Gerwig and Ryan Gosling (who plays Ken to Robbie's Barbie) were among those who confidently donned different hues of pink. There were also a few that opted for neutral tones, diverging from the color palette entirely, as seen with Nicki Minaj and Dua Lipa's stylish choices below.
